d. Fatigue: Lay the baby in a crib or cradle
on back or side with head turned to side. Other relief measures to try

1) Hold the baby securely and rock to sleep.
2) Pat or rub the baby's back with a steady rhythm.
3) Provide a quiet area for sleep.
e. Extremes of temperature
1) Check the temperature of the home.
2) Check to be sure that the baby is not
in a draft.
3) Determine if the baby is too hot or
too cold by feeling the baby's skin.
4) If the baby is too hot, try the following
measures.
(a) Sponge with a cool (not cold) washcloth.
(b) Change clothing if excessive or if damp; try to
locate cool, summery, cotton clothing.
(c) If the baby is hot for environmental reasons, consult
with the parent(s). The infant's temperature should be taken to determine
if illness is possible cause.
5) If the baby is too cold, wrap snugly
