a. Watch for loose knives in drawers when reaching inside. Any sharp items to be disposed of should be carefully wrapped in paper.

b. Do not reach into wastebaskets while emptying.

c. Use scoops or gloves when handling chemicals, detergents, or cleaning agents.

d. Do not try to catch a sharp item that falls. Move out of the way. Sweep up after it is on the ground.

e. Promptly sweep up broken glass and keep children out of the area.
Damp mop to be sure all glass splinters are picked up. Instruct children to wear shoes.

f. Be careful to avoid catching fingers in drawers.
